Judicial Commissioner / Part-time
Williamson County General Sessions Office is accepting applications for a part-time Judicial Commissioner. The Judicial Commissioner Office is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Judicial Commissioners deal with the public and with law enforcement agencies on a regular and daily basis. To be considered for this position, applicant must be a resident of Williamson County, Tennessee and will be required to attend mandatory continuing education training.
Judicial Commissioners hear testimony and determine probable cause upon sworn testimony for the issuance of arrest warrants. They also issue search warrants and juvenile petitions, issue criminal summons, assign conditions of release of bail, set bail and court date, and review and order involuntary commitments for mental health treatment.
